Session Report
The party investigated Room 17 and learned Goldpenny had ties to an unknown organization or cult and believed he was being watched. Following a lead, they arrived at Goldpenny’s residence in the Ivory Estates, finding it ransacked. Clues inside revealed connections between prominent Krozpont citizens and mystery cults.
The session began at the Brown Lagoon Saloon, where Mozeus coordinated with Kallistus Gredz on blessing Goldpenny’s house. They procured holy water, prayerbooks, and silver symbols from the market. Along the way, Long John was approached by Sari, a girl seeking help for her sick parents. The party intervened in a violent, zombie-like infection, disposing of the bodies before the doctor’s arrival.
At Goldpenny’s mansion, the party scaled the gates and entered through the cellar. Mozeus was temporarily incapacitated by rats, but the party cleared the room. They found signs of prior looters, destroyed busts, and letters linking tax evasion and illicit activity to high-ranking officials. The basement also contained cocaine in leather pouches marked “C.M.”
Antonio, Jolly, and Long John secured the house, eliminating burglars encountered along the stairs. They searched the office, library, and bedroom, discovering Goldpenny’s journal detailing rituals, artifacts like the “Claw of Emmaras,” and the “Minotaur Transformation,” hinting at elite city involvement. Tax records revealed collaborators including politicians, the Booga Brothers, mages, and clergy.
The party departed before further intrusions, using some of the cocaine to briefly revive Mozeus before returning him to the nearest church. They planned to pursue leads individually during the holiday downtime before regrouping in a few weeks.
